Learning Opportunities

Sunday School:  Classes begin the Sunday after Labor Day and end the Sunday after Mother's Day.  Class begins at 9:15 am and ends at 10:15 am.  Children are placed in classes based on their age as of September 1st.  Classes for students are located in the lower level.

Children from ages 3 to Pre-school participate in our Little Lambs curriculum where the children listen to Bible stories, work on crafts, sing and play games.

Elementary students participate in the Workshop Rotation Model Sunday School Program.  Our Sunday School rooms have been transformed into a workshop setting. Classes are grouped by grade and led by an adult Shepherd to workshops. Classes rotate to a different room/workshop each week and experience the same Bible story for 5 weeks in a variety of learning styles.  Our 6th week is a Celebration Sunday where we all come together to show our parents what we've learned, play activities related to our Bible story and have fun!

Fellowships

Women of ELCA:  A community of women created in the image of God called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society and the world. Some of our many gifts to the world include serving funerals and other church functions, quilting, delivering tapes to shut-ins, assembling a variety of kits for people in need, and financially helping children attend Luther Park Bible Camp.  Women of ELCA meet each month to share in a program. The program usually includes a speaker who has a topic that is either informative or even entertaining. Women of ELCA also host a brunch around Thanksgiving and a luncheon celebrating Christmas. To learn more about joining the Women of ELCA, call Shirley Morley at 924-2273.  View the Women of ELCA website at www.womenoftheelca.org.
